Morpeth School

As part of the Education Action Zone, students at Morpeth school are earning time credits to be exchanged for refurbished computer by the end of the school year. Year 10 students will be spending 30 hours tutoring the year 5s from a different school. Apart from raising attainment for both tutors and tutees the project also helps students from the two neighbouring schools to get to know each other, and thus makes it easier for the students from the neighbouring school to move to Morpeth.
Last year 12 students received refurbished computers as a reward for 30 hours exchanged and this year 15 new tutors have earned their first 3 hours by receiving training in how to be a tutor.
